All field labels can be modified in MuseumPlus. In this way field labels can be adjusted to the individual needs of an institution or according to the special requirements of a collection. By means of the list of terms and thesauri there is the option given to create authority files and to introduce controlled vocabulary. By doing so, redundancies can easily be detected.

In many modules of MuseumPlus recorded data can be classified according to the type. Thus, it is possible to generate an extra set of fields e.g. in the module collection which is next to the standard set of fields and wihich is only relevant for one particular object type.

The doublet control of MuseumPlus is an effective tool in order to search for identical data records and to avoid doublets.
