Conference: Deutscher StiftungsTagMay 2017

We are looking forward to this years conference of the Federation of German Foundations, the "Deutscher StiftungsTag 2017". zetcom will participate in the event, which will take place from 17 to 19 May in Osnabrück. During three days, Europe's largest congress for foundations will feature more than 100 individual events.

OTE Telecommunications Museum in Athens preserves and exhibits important collections closely connected with the history of Greek telecommunications as well as the history of Greece and the evolution of its society. With this decision, the museum will begin to organize its collection with MuseumPlus and make it accessible online to the public through eMuseumPlus.

Implementing MuseumPlusRIA for Enhanced Collections AccessibilityJune 2016

The Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology is Brown University's teaching museum and offers exhibits, public lectures, performances, symposia, festivals, and a broad range of programs and events for all ages. This year, the Museum migrated its collections data to MuseumPlusRIA, a cloud-based collections management system, that will allow the Museum staff to improve physical and intellectual access to the Haffenreffer's collections.

The next phase of the MuseumPlusRIA implementation project, designing a web interface with a searchable portal, will open the collections online to the worldwide community and foster new opportunities for discovery, research, and collaboration.

ArtPlus, the software for art collections and museums, is coming to a city near you!

ArtPlus is a modular, web-based software that allows to fully manage and document art collections. Developed by zetcom, a leading, independent Swiss company, our products are used by the world's most significant museums, galleries, and collectors, including the Prada Foundation and Louvre Museum.

Art on oil platformsFebruary 2016

The Statoil art program has decided to use zetcom software to manage its art collection. The vision of the art program, which was initiated in 2008, is to show how engagement with art is possible outside the established cultural institutions. The core of the program is the art collection, which includes some outstanding contemporary fine art photography. True to its vision, the exhibits are displayed worldwide, in the communities where Statoil is active, and even on offshore oil platforms.


Statoil is a Norwegian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Stavanger, Norway with business operations in 37 countries around the world. Today, the company is the largest operator on the Norwegian continental shelf, and a license holder in numerous oil and gas fields. The majority of shares are held by the Norwegian government.

zetcom promotes VMI Association Management InstituteJanuary 2016

The VMI is an independent Institute of the Faculty of Economics and Social Science in Fribourg and the competence center for association and NPO management in German-speaking countries. Since its founding, the sponsors are always at the focus of all activities of the VMI. The declared aim is to develop NPO-specific management knowledge and techniques.

zetcom visited the VMI in December 2015 in order to explore cooperation options. Since the beginning of the year zetcom supports many research projects of the VMI as a sponsor. An important goal is the sustainable professionalization of the non-profit sector through the use of software management solutions. In addition, the assignment of a master's thesis on the topic "development of IT in non-profit organizations in Switzerland" was discussed.



International Olympic Committee to be honored for Archive PreservationJuly 2015

Our client, the International Olympic Committee, will receive an award at IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) 2015 in Amsterdam. The award recognizes the IOC’s positive approach both to conservation and to making the archives available to broadcasters, researchers and other professionals. Dating back to the first Olympic Games in modern times, in 1896, the audiovisual archives of the Olympic Movement include 2000 hours of film, 33,000 hours of video, 8500 hours of audio and more than 500,000 photographs, as well as 2000 archive documents and 22,000 pictures of Olympic Museum artefacts.

We are very proud that more than a century of Olympic history is preserved for the future by our software solution and that of our technology partners. The award will be presented as part of the IBC2015 Awards Ceremony, which takes place at 18.30 on Sunday 13 September, in the Auditorium in the RAI Centre.



Norway’s newest art museum is working with MuseumPlusRIAMay 2015

The Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum (Northern Norway Art Museum) focuses on art connected to the region of Northern Norway; covering important trends in Norwegian visual and applied art from the early 19th century until today.

The Museum is the third institution in Norway to select MuseumPlusRIA to manage its almost 2.000 works, including painting, sculpture, graphics, photography, video, textiles and applied art. Europeana Inside (ECK) GuideMarch 2015

In 2012 the Europeana Inside project started with the vision that cultural institutions should be able to easily provide content to Europeana. With this vision and the goal of lowering barriers to content sharing, the ECK – Easy Connection Kit – has been created. The ECK is a piece of software and documentation toolkit that has been integrated into existing commercial and open source Collection Management Systems as well as into aggregators. Moreover, the components that make up the ECK can be integrated into other systems for free.

Finland Update!November 2014

Seven delegates of the National Board of Antiquities from Finland visited the zetcom office in Berlin. Discussions included ongoing project activities and finalization of the data mapping following the completion of the initial 'concept' phase.

We are confident that we will reach our target of integrating several databases from different collection management systems into one system by the end of next year. Shortly we are entering the prototyping phase which includes the data migration and testing.

We are looking forward to the next meeting!

Successful exhibition with many visitorsJune 2014

We’ve just returned from the Annual American Alliance of Museums meeting in Seattle. The exhibition hall (and the zetcom booth) were both very busy with attendees from all over the world. We discussed many projects and previewed some of the newest features of MuseumPlusRIA. We really enjoyed meeting with so many clients and new faces from a broad spectrum of museums and collections. We’re looking forward to continued dialogue over the weeks and months ahead, as we roll out the next version of MuseumPlusRIA.

Next stop for the US crew is MCN in Dallas, November 19-22, 2014. Save the date! This promises to be another great opportunity to share knowledge with the museum and cultural heritage community. Join us!



Finland: Big Win for zetcom!May 2014

Our zetcom team is very proud to announce the decision of the National Board of Antiquities (NBA) in Helsinki to use MuseumPlusRIA as the new national Collection Management System!


The worldwide leading Collection Management System developers competed in a Europe-wide tendering procedure for this prestigious "Museum 2015" project. The goal of the "Museum 2015" project is to establish a central CMS for five pilot museums within one year and then distribute the new system to more Finnish museums. The webbased MuseumPlusRIA was rated the best system within this very thorough procurement process.


The large and diverse collections of the piloting museums are part of the Museum of Finnish Architecture, the Tuusla Art Museum, the Kuopio Museum of Cultural History, the Finnish National Gallery and the National Board of Antiquities.


We look very much forward to working with the NBA team as well as the piloting museums and the Finnish museums in general!

German Foundation Days 201421 - 23 May 2014

During the 2-day meeting at the Hamburg Congress Center a large number of foundations took the opportunity to have a close look at the FoundationPlus software solution.
