Two leading Greek museums are now part of the MuseumPlus familyJune 2013

  • The Museum of Archaeology and History of the Art
  • The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation (Andros Contemporary Art Museum)

Both museums have chosen to introduce the flagship MuseumPlus solution as the core system to their documentation departments. The City Museum of Athens now works with MuseumPlusJune 2013

The Museum of the City of Athens has just acquired MuseumPlus. It was a crucial decision for the Museum since they have to successfully migrate 25.000 items of their diverse collections and databases of paintings, engravings, sculptures, pieces of furniture and important relics of modern Greek history, which represent a panorama of the evolution of Athens since the Frankish domination in the Middle Ages. By means of zetcom’s complementary eMuseumPlus solution, the Museum will be able to showcase various thematic virtual exhibitions on its web site in the near future.

Lunds Universitets Historiska MuseumOctober 2011

founded in 1805, is the second largest archaeological museum in Sweden and houses 10 million objects in its magazine. To date 150 000 artefacts have been digitized in an older system and have now been migrated into MuseumPlus. Central to this implementation was the high quality of preparatory work, which was necessary because of the complexity of relations between archaeological research, reports and objects.

The Historical museum decided on the Swedish version of MuseumPlus and the exhibition module for venue and loan management. The museum will from now on use MuseumPlus not only for their own artefacts, but also to administer almost all future archaeological findings from the province of Scania. Due to the large number of MuseumPlus users with different requirements and expertise, Karin Glasemann held an extended training session in Lund.
