Hosting Services

With regard to the server operation and maintenance of the installation, there is a distinction between basic and managed services.

• Basic service
  Hosting, maintenance and backup for the complete system are included in the basic service package. In principal eMuseumPlus will run without further adjustments and interventions. We know from experience that there is a low risk of failures, but it increases in the course of time.
• Managed service
  With respect to managed services, the installation will continuously be maintained. Critical updates of the operational software as well as updates of the security system will be evaluated and, if necessary, installed. Applying regularly all security patches guarantees as higher protection against attacks from outside and makes it possible to eliminate the security gaps and bugs being detected in the course of time.

If required, the hosting service can be amplified and a special service package can be elaborated. In addition the equipment can be enhanced whenever it is necessary.

Data security and recovery

Storage, backup and recovery of critical data are among the top concerns of all eMuseumPlus deployments. We run a daily backup of the critical data of your server and store your program and system configurations. In case of failure, your server can be recovered free of charge within a short period of time. These methods guarantee a high availability and a maximum of reliability of your online collection.

Statistics and reports

zetcom offers real time server performance monitoring and detailed traffic statistics of you eMuseumPlus deployment. You can check at any time if your server is at its limit. By controlling the servers regularly, bugs and failures can be detected in sufficient time. With the help of long-term diagrams, trends can be recognized easily and events like performance and disk space shortage can be predicted.

Security and consistency

The eMuseumPlus server is located in Berne in a protected data center which is a former air raid shelter. The high security concept and the solid infrastructure provided by zetcom protect your data against unauthorized access. Furthermore, it's important to take into account that redundant network components and multiple circuits make the system available around the clock. Additional safety features are uninterruptible power supply, a diesel generator, air condition and a fire-extinguishing system. Spare parts of all components are always at hand.
