Art on oil platforms

The Statoil art program has decided to use zetcom software to manage its art collection. The vision of the art program, which was initiated in 2008, is to show how engagement with art is possible outside the established cultural institutions. The core of the program is the art collection, which includes some outstanding contemporary fine art photography. True to its vision, the exhibits are displayed worldwide, in the communities where Statoil is active, and even on offshore oil platforms.

Statoil is a Norwegian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Stavanger, Norway with business operations in 37 countries around the world. Today, the company is the largest operator on the Norwegian continental shelf, and a license holder in numerous oil and gas fields. The majority of shares are held by the Norwegian government.
