The Vogtlandmuseum documents the cultural history of the Saxon portion of the Vogtland region from prehistory to the present. It is housed in three <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">listed<\/span> <span lang=\"EN-US\">residential and commercial <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">buildings dating to the end of the 18th century<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a3e34a7 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a3e34a7\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The museum opened here in July 1923. <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Part of the permanent exhibition are period rooms, incorporating elements of the original interior design and decorative art. \u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">The valuable collection of the museum includes about 500,000 objects. <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Vogtland region, with Plauen as its center, is renowned for its fabric manufacturing, lace production and embroidery<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> of global importance<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Vogtlandmuseum is the local history museum of the city of Plauen, Germany.
