Engineering Manager

You are leading our development team with delivering high quality solutions for the projects, on a planning, technical and
people aspects. You are taking part in Group Services activities to transform and accelerate the work and improve
collaboration with the other parts of zetcom, with the goal to scale up efficiency.
This role is ideal for you if you have a software engineering background with some experience in coaching colleagues and
wanting to take a leadership role on both technical and people aspects.

The zetcom group develops international leading software solutions and services for museums, collections and corporate archives as well as solutions for organizational management (foundations and associations) and environmental data management (administration and companies).

Over 1.000 clients in more than 30 countries are using our flexible software solutions (SaaS) to develop and maintain cultural heritage, to manage daily business or to administer environmentally relevant institutions. They are supported by our headquarters in Switzerland, by our subsidiaries in Germany, the USA, Spain, France and by our worldwide partners.

In this role

  • Lead the development team (7 people) in delivering and supporting high quality, sustainable solutions according to the client
    requirements, timeframe, and budget
  • Manage team resources and organization to ensure long-term plannability
  • Lead team ownership of standard components / libraries across many projects, including designing new components and
    maintaining existing ones
  • Act as a technical consultant / partner for projects, pre-sales and product development
  • Manage the people within the team
  • Participate in cross team activities to improve collaboration and efficiency

What you should bring

  • University degree in IT
  • Technical background in the Java stack. Groovy is an advantage
  • Previous experience in technical leadership (e.g., principal/lead developer)
  • Previous experience in leading people, or coaching / mentoring developers
  • Good people skills (empathy, listening, willingness to work with people)
  • Good organization skills (planning, time management)
  • Strategic decision-making skills
  • Good communicator, able to convince
  • Fluent in English. German is an advantage
