Role Summary
The Musée de Louvre (MDL) is a long-standing and highly important client of zetcom using our Collection Management System solution MuseumPlus. As developer and vendor of the application zetcom was awarded to fully modernize the solution via a transformation project that includes replacing the legacy application, moving it to the cloud, extending the integration of the application as well as transforming and migrating mass data. The project is laid out in scope, schedule and budget and ready to go. The mission is to lead it to success, throughout the 1.5 years of core implementation period and beyond. Integrated into our team of project managers and the zetcom PMO, you apply and adapt our project management approach to this project. This is a large and fast paced project with attractive strategic, tactical, and operative aspects within digitalisation in general and software life cycle in specific.
Role Purpose
In this role you are managing a large project in close cooperation with the zetcom Solution Expert who is leading the project. You bring project management methodology to the project and set up planning, organizing and controlling. You coordinate with our client’s project team and our implementation team. Throughout the whole project lifecycle you are working with the support of our PMO and its delivery procedures.

You are passionate about projects and their goals. You are a mid to advanced level project manager. You have a strong IT or related businesses and service background, and you are enthusiastic about the cultural heritage sector. You are a natural communicator, you can influence stakeholders and manage their expectations adequately on their level and build their trust. You have the competence, experience, and confidence to manage a customer project from start to finish. You are self-driven, accountable and highly motivated to work remotely in a global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the project to successful completion: plan, execute and steer towards its goals. Maintain a robust project management framework and documentation in order for our functional and technical experts to do their job effectively
- Main responsible for organising and keeping the flow of information within our and with the client’s project organisation in regards to the project. Builds a professional trustful relation to the client’s project manager and core team
- Prepare and host the project meetings, contribute to project governance, present tactics to client teams (e.g. sprints)
- Generate and communicate written meeting minutes, action plans, status reports and similar tools for project handling
- Support and control the business requirements and specification process
- Commit client’s teams to their tasks, deliverables and timelines and follow up with them
- Manage consumption and completion of budget, time, scope and deliverables
- Create work breakdown structures and keep track of deliverables for our and the client’s experts
- Prepare and monitor the task handling for configuration, code development, data migration, and infrastructure in coordination with the team
- Detect deviations from plan (delays, scope deviation, deficiencies), propose corrective measures, and manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs
- Coordinate the team resources, make resource requests and coordinate commitments
- Ensure a quality focussed delivery and support the team in testing and QA procedures
- Keep the organisation up to date about status, health, as well as risks/opportunitites from inside the project. Report and escalate to management as needed
Key Selection Criteria
- Customer centric service philosophy
- Proven track record in implementation of applications, software development, or service management for medium to complex business systems
- Experienced in working within international virtual teams, with an understanding of French specific work culture
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, verbally and in writing, with both IT and business teams
- Native French competencies for client and project communication, very good in English for all internal and team communication
- Good persistance and resilience to succeed in larger and distributed organizations
- University degree or equivalent education (preferably computer sciences, business administration, and/or cultural studies)
- Resident in Paris metropolitan region
Desirable
- Certified project manager (customary degree in services or IT industry) is a plus
- Practical experience with collection management, documentation or archiving systems is a plus
- Change management qualifications are a plus
- Business analysis qualifications are a plus
